Punch List

A punch list is an itemized list of tasks that need to be completed in residential construction before a project can be declared as complete. This list identifies any incomplete or unsatisfactory work, often including minor issues such as nail pops, painting touch-ups, repair of scratches or blemishes, and installation of hardware such as curtain rods and door handles.

Punch lists provide a way for contractors and homeowners to ensure that all aspects of the project have been accounted for. They also serve as a way to formally document the completeness of the job and help to protect both parties against future disputes over what was included in their original contract.
