Basis of Estimate

A basis of estimate (BOE) is a document that outlines the assumptions or methodology, and data used to develop a cost or resource estimate for a project. The BOE typically includes a detailed description of the work performed, the resources required, and the expected duration of the work. BOEs are used in project management for the construction industry to provide a transparent and auditable record of how an estimate was developed.
