Architect of Record

An Architect of Record is a licensed, professional architect who is responsible for the design, engineering and construction documents related to residential construction projects. The Architect of Record is typically contracted by the homeowner or General Contractor to ensure that all drawings and documents comply with applicable codes and regulations. In addition, they provide oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure that it meets quality standards and is completed on time and within budget while also protecting the interests of all parties involved.

Lastly, the Architect of Record is responsible for driving project decisions, managing the design team, coordinating contractor bids, reviewing construction progress reports, inspecting job sites to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and more.
